divine worth - 1/11/18

Updated: Nov 25, 2020

I have mentored many individuals over the years. My deepest desire is to impart the unconditional love of God to people and show them how much they mean to God. Our worth is not in anything other than God's love for us and His death on the cross. Jesus said, in John 15:13, "Greater love hath no man than this, that a man lay down his life for his friends." I had a conversation about worth with one of the young ladies I mentor. She wrote to me last week:

"Thank you for your prayers Joe. I have felt your prayers and it has been such a blessing to feel that covering. I have had an extra measure of self worth and confidence that is divine. Thank you so much!"

I love that she had an extra measure of self-worth and confidence, but the important part of this statement was that she felt that it was divine. We certainly know our self-worth does not come from ourselves or outside of ourselves. Our self-worth is found in Him and Him alone. Touching Jesus is all that really matters.
